The Pioneer Vision
period education for everyone
I believe that Knowledge is Power. I believe that sharing stories, experiences & resources can empower kids in amazing ways. When kids know and understand their bodies & learn about the tools we have to manage Periods, they build the confidence to tackle whatever life throws their way.
My traveling workshops bring period education directly to communities across Western New York, fostering open dialogue and breaking down the stigma surrounding menstruation.
Colleen hosted an engaging and educational Period Workshop for us at the Newstead Public Library this past weekend. We had 11 participants with their grown ups. Kids moved through stations of interactive activities including making a period calendar and a blossom bag of products. It was great to hear the girls talking and laughing, Colleen makes what can be an uncomfortable talk very fun and inclusive! Parents said they learned things too. Thanks Colleen!!
